Hi I have a problem,
I want to change the source vlan for a SPAN monitor session. The issue is I don´t want to logon at every switch to change the source manually, because we change the source many-times daily, we want to automatize the process as far as possible via SNMP.
I´d been searching some MIB´s for a solution to set the monitor session via SNMP but didn´t found anything, I hope somebody could enlighten me.

CISCO-FC-SPAN-MIB should have the oids you need.

Hi Dan,
thanks for your reply.Sorry, I forgot to mention that the Hardware is a Catalyst 4948 IOS 12.2(31r) SGA1. As far as I know is the FC-SPAN-MIB only available on Fiber Channel devices.
I have found a solution to create a span session via SNMP:
portCopyStatus.
portCopySessionNo.
portCopyDirection.
portCopySessionType.
all objects are from the SMON-MIB
The problem is, I can only create local sessions. I can´t create a session with a vlan as a source interface.
This action results in an error
Reason: commit Failed
Is there a possibility to create a remote / vlan based span session that way or is that at least the correct direction or is there an other solution.
Sorry for my bad english.
Thanks in advance.
