Default action to Deny vs ACL Rule to deny outside traffic

Is it common to create a rule to deny outside traffic or is it ok to use the default action to block all if a match isn't made? 

Thoughts?

Hi,

As my opinion is to no need to create a deny rule if the default Action is set to deny. If a connection doesn't match the ACP rules it will take the default action which you set.
