Deleted disk0 on ASA 5505

I was handed an ASA 5505 and was asked if I could factory reset the firewall. I have never messed with a Cisco firewall before, just routers and switches. Well I looked up the instructions to reset the passwords, and that went smoothly. Then I assumed that the commands to factory reset it were like those on the routers and switches. I ended up accidentally deleting the disk0. I am not sure how to resolve this issue. I do have an extra 5505 that is factory reset that works perfectly fine.

disk0 is the Compact Flash (CF) card inside the appliance where everything it needs to boot and operate is stored.

You can follow the procedure below to tftp a new boot image onto it and, once you get it in, you can copy over the rest of the bits like ASDM image and other supporting files that you might need.

This procedure covers the necessary bits under "Reimage from FirePOWER Threat Defense to ASA" section. Never mind that you are building it from scratch - the process is the same.

Got the issue resolved. Had to also reformat the disk0: and reconfigure the registry, but from what you gave me I was able to take it and run with it. Thank you.
