I have two cisco 2960 switches in my lab, VLAN 20 is configured
SW1-SW2 --- port 24 trunk
SW1 port 13 is DHCP Server port
SW1 port 1 CLIENT 1 is connected
SW1 DHCP SNOOPING CONFIGURATION,
ip dhcp snooping
ip dhcp snooping vlan 20
interface fa 0/13 --- DHCP SERVER connected port
ip dhcp snooping trust
SW2-SW1 -- port 24 trunk
SW2 port 14 is where CLIENT 2 is connected
SW2 DHCP Snooping Configuration
ip dhcp snooping
ip dhcp snooping vlan 20
interface fa 0/24 --- trunk port - 2-Sw1
ip dhcp snooping trust
disable option 82
no ip dhcp snooping information option
MY points why Client 2 is not getting the address from the dhcp, but CLIENT is getting address with no problem
Also I have configured Rogue DHCP Server which is actually a cisco router,
I would also like to know info about OPTION 82
