Hello everybody,
our customer uses Firepower Service Modules in his 5516-X devices and miss the SNMP tab (see attached ScreenDump) in the FMC.
That the Firepower Service Modules do not support SNMP can he understand at those are in the ASA5508-X but he consider the Firepower Service Modules in the 5516-X as native FTDs and they should not behave different as FTD appliances regarding SNMP.
Are the Firepower Service Modules in the 5516-X really native FTDs?
I would like to hear your appinion.
Thanks a lot!
Best regards,
R.

Yes you are correct. It is a bit confusing since they are moving the SNMP configuration menu around some between versions and platforms.

The screen shot shows an ASA 5516-X running FTD. That is not an ASA 5516-X with Firepower service module.
SNMP settings for an FTD device such as that are configured under platform settings.

Good morning Marvin,
thanks for your fast response!
The customer has Firepower 2110 and ASA5516-X running FTD in his network.
The SNMP configuration for both device types will be performed on different menus within the FMC.
If I understand the yellow marked warning in the attached screen dump correctly then he can use SNMP on the Firepower 2110 OR on the ASA5516-X running FTD?
Thanks a lot!
Greetings,
R.
