Downgrade License ASA 55XX to DES

Hello all,

we are planing to install a Cisco ASA in China.

Can we downgrade the Cisco ASA55XX 3DES/AES License to a DES license?

We find only the option for a Cisco PIX on http://cisco.com/go/license

Where can I find the right license?

Why would you like to downgrade the license from 3DES/AES to DES? If you have 3DES/AES license, it also includes the DES encryption as well, so you can configure your IPSec or SSL policy with DES.

If you require the same 3DES license to run failover, you can upgrade it to 3DES free from the licensing page.

However, if you really need to downgrade the license to DES, please kindly contact licensing@cisco.com, and provide the show version output of the current license, and also what you would like to downgrade it to.

Can we send a Cisco ASA 55xx with 3DES/AES China?

I thought the 3DES/AES license is limited to specific Countries.

Base on the following URL, China is not included in any of the restricted countries:
