Enabling Firewall to send Logging information

Dear Experts!!!!

I have a ASA 5510 firewall with CSC module and Security Plus license for CSC module.

Will you tell me how to configure my firewall to send emails to particular mail ID when someone login into the firewall or any virus attacks from outside.

Please give me what are all the possible options to configure this.

Regards,

Janardhan

Hi Janardhan,

You need just the smtp server, for snmp server there is a different configuration, snmp is a reporting and mionitoring tool.

Hi Janardan,

Please have a look at the logging document below:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a00805a2e04.shtml

You can select the syslog level to for user login and attacks, so that only those messages are sent to the mail server:

Hope this helps.
