Fixed - just removed the asdm bin file and downloaded it again and all works - strange as I did this yesterday, so I'm not sure what this issue was in the end.

Hi,
I guess you could try adding
aaa authentication http console LOCAL
And use the username "cisco" and its password to log in.
Atleast the error message seems to hint that something is wrong related to the authentication.
Did you try
https://192.168.0.70/ while connecting to the ASA by browser?

Still no luck, can I download the ASDM manually?
It can't seem to find
HTTP: file not found: public/index.html, will this be loacted in the flash?
