Anytime we attempt to configure the Novell NDS External User Database in ACS we get the following error messages. An error has occurred while processing the External Database Configuration Page because of an internal error.. External Authentication Configuration Error
Cisco Secure ACS has encountered a problem while attempting to process your request. This is could be due to one of the following: An incorrect installation or configuration of the third-party DLLs required to support this External Database. A corrupt Cisco Secure configuration. The Novel Client v4.91 is installed on the server. Any help would be appreciated.

The Novell client MUST be installed BEFORE the ACS installation, this is so during the ACS install, ACS will detect the clients presence on the system and configure itself accordingly.
If you installed the Novell client AFTER the ACS installation then you'll have to reinstall ACS for it to work correctly.
Failing that, go under System Config - Service Control, and change the Logging level to High. Restart the ACS services then look in c:\program files\CiscoSecure ACS v3.x\CSAuth\Logs, there's an auth.log file there, check near the end of it for all the messages that it just logged during the startup of the CSAuth service, if you can cut/paste them here that will give us more to go on.

That is what I had feared. We will uninstall and reinstall ACS in the correct order and I will tell you how this goes. Thank you for you help.
