Error message when copying PIX config file to TFTP

I run the following commands to copy PIX config file to TFTP and got error message:

tftp-server aa.bb.cc.dd /pix01102002

write net aa.bb.cc.dd:pix01012002

building configuration...

TFTP write at 'aa.bb.cc.dd' on interface 1

Timed out attempting to connect

[Failed]

I connect my laptop to Firewall through Console port. My laptop's IP address is aa.bb.cc.dd. Do you know why? Thanks.

Can you ping your laptop from the PIX firewall?

Is the config file on the tftp server world writable and in the tftp servers root directory?

Hi, turnbull, thanks for your reply. The config file is not in the tftp server's root directory because I got the error message when I copied it to tftp.
