Failover with 2 PIX (515 et 515E) ?!

I' ve got 2 PIX, one PIX515, and one PIX515E. I don't know if it's possible to connect them to use the failover.

And if it's possible, have you some tips to do that.

The "supported" failover configuration is that everything has to be exactly the same. Having said that, this will probably work as I have done it in the lab here and neither PIX complained about it.

As I said though, if you do this and then have problems, the first thing the TAC is going to say is that this is not supported, so I'll leave it up to you as to whether you run production traffic through an unsupported configuration or not.

My 2 PIX are not compatible. There's a PIX 515 Unrestricted, and a PIX 515E restricted.

So Failover is impossible !

But I want to know if there are other possibilties to remplace the failover ?! An other way to do that.
