Firepower 2100 with ASA Smart Licensing

Hi,

we have oberved that ASA is not authorized after reboot with no internet. The ASA is successfully initial registered and authorized

Status: AUTHORIZED

 

After Reload (no internet or no DNS server responded) the ASA is in the status PENDING

Failure reason: Communication message send error

Is this normal beheaviour ?

The appliance will make another (and several) attempts to connect with the smart licensing server and the error message should clear. Does this not happen?

The firewall stayed in status PENDING with next attempt in december.

I rebootet the device and it registered after booting.
