FirePower 2100 with ASA software

Hi All, 

Getting real confused in regards to ASA & FTD. 

We have FRP2100 and FMC to be deployed

Say if i re-imaged Firepower  2100 to ASA CODE, do i loose FTD that is needed to be connected to the FMC for NGFW features with  the TAMC  licenses?

I've  had experience deploying ASA5585+Firepower where ASA & Firepower(on same box) can  co-exist, and firepower added to FMC for ngfw services

Hi,

If you re-mage the 2100 with ASA code you will lose the NGFW features. You won't be able to manage it via FMC.

For the 2100 it is either FTD or ASA code only.

If you have ASA code running there will still be the base FXOS running underneath and ASA code running ontop of that.
