I'm currently testing pair of FMC 4500 in HA (6.4.0.8-28 upgraded from initial 6.2.1) before introducing into production and I'm facing some issues.
On the active unit I scheduled to run daily backup of the FMC configuration to the remote storage and it was working fine. Then as an operational test I tried to switch roles. What I noticed is that even thought the schedule was replicated, the daily backup did not run at all on the standby unit. I'm using different remote storage server and backup profile on the standby unit (cause they are in geographically different DC to provide true DR) but that was correctly reflected in the scheduled task details.
Does this mean such setup is unsupported OR that scheduled tasks need to be re-added every time the roles are switched?
Also, on the active unit I enabled recurring weekly updates for Rules and Geolocation but after switching the roles this setting for Geolocation is cleared.
