Firepower Management Center - How to know if IPDS is checking traffic?

I have a firepower 1010 being managed by the FMC  with only the base license.  How do I verify that the IPDS is actually inspecting traffic on my various networks? The firewall is in routed mode.  Do I need the threat license for it to work?

Hi,

Base license won't apply inspection. For this you need to have a threat
license. You can go to FMC > Analysis > Connection Events to see your
connections and the actions applied on them. But if you enable inspection
on your ACP and try to deploy the policy, FMC won't allow that and will
give you an error that you are missing threat license..
