I have firepower on my asa 5506-x,
I have the Firepower Management Center working and recognizing the ASA
If I go to Devices>Device Management>(my device) and then choose troubleshoot, and then go to advance troubleshooting, I only get file download. I do not get a packet Tracer (which would be of great help).
I'm new to all the firepower and FMC stuff so...
Am I missing a license (I see protection, Control)
My model reads ASA5506, Version 6.2.0
What am I missing. Is it misconfigured (stupid me?)
Help???
Thanks
Joe

I thought you had to have 6.x or higher, but I went and checked an FTD module on an ASA that I upgraded last week to 6.4.0.7 and it's still not an option. I have an ASA 5525 with FTD modules. Maybe it is ASA model-dependent? Anyone know?
Below is from Cisco documentation, not sure how accurate or up to date it is.
The information in this document is based on these software versions:

You mention "ASA with FTD modules". There's no such configuration.
There are:
1. ASA with Firepower service module. That runs ASA software and the service module is an added in software module. Packet-tracer from FMC is not supported on these.
2. ASA with FTD. The appliance runs the integrated Firepower Threat Defense image. Packet-tracer IS supported on these.

Thanks Marvin. We have ASA with Firepower service module then which explains the lack of packet tracer in FMC.
