Firepower URL Filtering - Import URL List

Hello,

Would anyone know if it is possible to import a list of URL's into the FMC?  Or do I have to create an URL object for each URL or manually add an URL to each group?

I am migrating from a different vendor, and I need to import URL lists.

Thanks,

Dan.

Yes, that's certainly possible.

You can create a text file URL whitelist and upload it as described here:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/firepower/620/configuration/guide/fpmc-config-guide-v62/reusable_objects.html#ID-2243-000002e9

...and then use in in your Security Intelligence settings:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/firepower/620/configuration/guide/fpmc-config-guide-v62/security_intelligence_blacklisting.html#ID-2192-0000002b

As of FMC v6.5? 6.7? There is a way in the GUI to import URLs. In addition to the existing API way of importing.

Hello, I realise this is an old thread but there was no solution marked and I have recently had to do this.

For this, I was in the rule creation for a policy, under the URL tab, clicked the + button and there is the option to create a list using a text file.

For the text file, I had each url on a separate line and saved as a .txt. Uploaded this, FMC outputs how many URLs it has picked up on and the list can then be saved and used.

Assume this won't help the original post and issue but for the record as I was stuck on this.

Thanks
