Firepower vs ASA configuration

Hello guys,

I'd like to replace the ASA 5545X (with Firepower services) by Firepower appliance.

Which is the similar model in terms of performance?

Seems that OS is different, can I keep the old ASA CLI configuration and migrate to FPR ?

Hi,

You probably want to consider one the higher end 1000 series Firepower devices or the lower end 2100 series, depending on your requirements.

You can run either the new FTD software with NGFW features or you can run the ASA software on the FPR hardware.

FTD 2XXX is good model, But some case it was Lower performance over FTD 11XX

You can Migrate using  Migration tool which can help migrating from ASA to FTD

FTD is full GUI based config, either using FDM or FMC.
