FMCv migration to FMCv migration without losing configuration

What would be the best way to migrate a current FMCv 7.2.1 which hosts 4 NFGW to another FMCv without losing configuration.

Create a backup of the managing Firepower Management Center FMCv and import it to the new device, without losing any configuration? is this double?

back up the FMC config and upload it to the new FMC or if you have FMC HA then much easier
