Good day!
We just recently upgraded from ASA 5520 to a ASA/FP 2130 Bundle and we're only seeing performance increase (through speedtest) about 25% increase. Management is wondering why we're seeing much more as the newer FP2130 is able of handling a lot through than the ASA 5520 in terms of CPU/memory and compression..etc. We're not using the FirePower for anything at the moment and the ASA is just handling VPN traffic.
Does anyone know why and what we should be seeing? The ASA/FP2130 is behind a CheckPoint firewall and the edge router so we're about 2 hops downstream from the ISP gateway.
What should we be seeing? and how to correctly determine this?
