FTD 1120 ver 7.3 SLA

Hi all

I have an issue setting up SLA on the FTD. (Using FTD GUI)  On my old ASA I use 8.8.4.4 as the monitor address for the SLA and its been working for years.  On the FTD the second I use any dns ip for the monitor part it fails the line and switches to the backup line even though its fine.

I can use the gateway ip for SLA and that works BUT it can always ping the gateway even when there is no signal going to the comcast modem (no internet) which makes it useless.  I can ping 8.8.4.4 from the FTD no problem so not sure what am doing wrong here.

7.3 is latest may be bug  ?

as per 7.0 concern it works as expected - have you upgraded to 7.3 ?

from command can you post below outputs :

show route

show sla monitor configuration

show sla monitor operational-state

show track
