Hi

I tried adding an FTD 2130 to vFMC but I got the message saying cant manage a Device on this version, The FMC is on 7.0.x and FTD 6.2.x, Im assuming my only option is upgrading via CLI ? does the FXOS also need an image upgrade.?? Is there a step by step guide on this as I have never done this but am looking forward to ticking this one off.?

Thankyou

@benolyndav you could do that or just reimage direct to 7.0

@benolyndav 6.2 is too old for 7.x FMC to manage. How is the FPR2130 currently managed? You could just reimage from scratch instead of upgrading - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/firepower/quick_start/reimage/asa-ftd-reimage.html#Cisco_Concept.dita_c9b7ba02-2e89-469b-802e-0a0d48c9a7cd

There is no separate FXOS image for the 2100 series hardware.

Hi

Thanks for that

The FTD isnt currently managed its been offline for  quite a while, Ill reimage to 6.5.x and then should be able to add to FMC then upgarde via manager.?

Thanks
