FTD Chassis URL Displayed in Device Management

We've recently added a new FTD 1120 to our FMC and during this process, apparently something was done differently, as there is now a Chassis URL in the Chassis column in Device Management in FMC. There doesn't seem to be any problem with the device's functionality, so I am thinking it is largely only a cosmetic thing.  Is there a way to remove this?  I have found details on how to change Chassis names, but this seems to be a different sort of issue. I'd also like to understand how this happened, as it didn't occur the last time we added an FTD a couple of months ago.

It's a cosmetic bug on the 1000 series. Fixed in 7.7.0 (and should be included in the upcoming 7.6.1).

It is a cosmetic bug that does not impact the deployment. I don't have the bug ID handy but I think @Marvin Rhoads might.

Hi, sorry to reply to an old thread but we also have this issue. We have just upgraded to 7.6.2 on both the FMC and the Firepower 1120 in question but the Chassis URL is still displayed. I see the bug referenced says it should have been fixed in 7.6.1 but doesn't seem to be the case

I'm still having it on 7.7.10.1. Plus, according to the bug mentioned, above, it's for cloud-delivered FMC and mine is on-prem.  I've just grown accustomed to certain "bugs" being permanent, at this point.

Mine is on-prem too. I think the title of the bug says on-prem even though the description only mentions cloud-delivered. I guess I'll just have to try and ignore it then

I legitimately got so used to this, that I forgot it was even a thing until your reply. I've just opened a TAC case to at least get an official response on it so I'll update here when I receive anything.

Hi folks. I am one of the Product Managers in the security business unit and while this particular issue does not fall under my umbrella of responsibilities, I will send some queries out and get to the bottom of this.

As an update, TAC came back confirming that it was cosmetic but, if I wanted to remove it, I could delete the FTD from FMC and re-add it.  From the message, it seems the updated FMC no longer has the issue of producing the cosmetic bug, but doesn't remove it if it already existed before the upgrade.  I have not done this, so I can't speak to it's accuracy.  If/when I have the time to do this, I'll try to remember to share the experience.
