FTD interface showing "admin down"

Hi all,

I am attempting to bring up a failover link between two FTDs on e1/16 and it is showing as admin down. The cables are connected. Where can I admin up these interfaces as there appear to be enabled in FMC..

Assuming both devices are managed by FMC, then you need to add the High Availability (HA) pair from device management screen and select the Ethernet 1/16 interface on each device as the failover link with associated IP address etc. Completing that dialog will create the HA pair and bring the interfaces up.

You can not use data interface to connect ftd to fmc in HA

You need to use mgmt interface

what model FTD and which version are you running?

I assume you have deployed the configuration ?

Have you configured the HA setup for the FTDs and defined Eth1/6 as the interface to use yet?
