There's no config attached. However, the pix does not support sftp, because it can't see the encrypted traffic. Therefore it can not determine what ports to open.
If you are having issues with ftp, ensure that your fix-up is on for ftp. This way it will aware to inspect ftp traffic to find out which port to open for data.
