Hello,
I'm trying to find a hardware firewall for my office that would support 2 internet lines.
Basically I want the second line as a backup incase the first one stops working.
But if it's possible for me to use both lines simultaniously, meaning the second line will always provide an internet connetion rather than connecting only when the 1st one fails, that'd be even better.
I think it's called a failover but I'm not sure.
Also, it should have a vpn client that runs in Linux
Any leads would be appreactiated!
Thanks in advance,
Sergei

Hi,
The ASAs can only have a single Internet interface at the same time.
Can have more but just acting as backups since the limitation is a single default gateway active at any given time.
You can connect with VPN from linux.
The IOS routers support more than a single interface with a default route up at any given time.
You can have an IOS router acting as a firewall using Zone Based Firewalling or CBAC.
