so, i asked this question a while back on the fourms: can you stack a 3750 switch over fiber.....the answer is no, but the virtual switching supervisor 720-10G for the 6500 can create one virtual switch using two 6500s...how can we get cisco to come ...
howdy...got this crazy issue with vtp last week...so we have a few stacked 3750 switches with vtp transparent configured...some idiot plugged in a fiber from another network into our stacked switches...that network/switch has vtp server configured......
Hello there...I got a 3560 8 port and trying to transfer the IOS via xmodem. It failed twice. I formatted the fsck the flash but still no luck. Anybody know any other work arounds to this?switch: flash_initInitializing Flash...mifs[3]: Invalid fd s...
my focus is not on the 3750s...my focus was the stackwise technology and the ability to use that technology over fiber...ALMOST as similar to the vsse supervisor 720....there are a lot of benefits of stacking switches...
is this switch in production?...could be the vlan database is corrupted...u can try and delete the vlan.dat in flash, then reload...or try changing vtp to transparent and see if u can make the change...
auto-rp or setting up an rp is usally if u are on a l3 network...from what u described, u are multicasting on a l2 network...have u looked into the application?
