HI
I am probably missing something very obvious, but how do I clear events out of DFM.
From what I can see I can only ACK an event but it stays in DFM. This is a problem since eventually I have messages from AAL my devices in DFM - in an Ack'ed state.
I don't want to setup a filter everytime I open DFM.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thx
Wayne

Once you ACK the event, it is supposed to go away after 30 minutes

Hi
I logged a TAC case and it appears to be a BUG as the problem is now resolved:
It looks to me that you are facing the bug id
CSCsa76033
Headline: alerts / events sometimes gets stuck and does not clear out of AAD
The events that are stuck in active state were determined to be 'Unresponsive' events on the IP subclass. IDU6 has a fix for not subscribing to this subclass. However if there were any pre-existing events before the install of IDU6 then it will not get cleared after the install of IDU6. The work around is to delete the device and re-add the device after 5 hours
==================
Although I had the latest updates the events were still there. Make sure you delete the device and then rediscover.
Hope This help
Regards
Wayne

CSCsa76033 is for IP Telephony Monitor, not for Device Fault Manager
IDU 6 for ITM does exist
The latest version of DFM, is 2.0.2

Hi
You are right, but my DFM problem is fixed following these guidelines. Maybe its the smae problem in ITM and DFM?
Make sure you have the latest DFM patches installed though.
Cheers

Excellent, will make a note of that
Yes, ITM and DFM are both based on the SMARTS product
