Howto change failoverlink between ASA´s to directly connected

Hallo,

we have two identical ASA 5585-X Appliances;

at the moment we are Connecting the Failover and Stateful Failover Linkby by using external switches;

In future we are planing to use an Ethernet cable to connect the units directly with port-channel, without the need for an external switch.

At the moment the Primary Unit is not connected to our network; there is no failoverlink in usage betweeen the

two units. All usercontexts are active on the secondary unit. My question is, how can I do the change with minimal

interruption.

You say you have a connection via switches but then you say the primary unit is not connected. Which is it?

If there's not currently HA, then just follow the config guide for creating HA.
