Hello,

I am having PIX 515E Stateful Failover and two 3750 Layer 3 Switch.

I want to implement HSRP for 3750 Switch. How can i implement it, can any 1 guide me.

I have 1 2950 Switch between PIX and 3750 Layer 3 Switch.

It would be great if any 1 can help me out.

Rakshit,

why do you require HSRP in 3750 between the switch and the PIX ? on the 3750's you just need to give the default gateway to the Primary PIX. Once the Primary goes down, the secondary automatically takes the Primary's IP.

why do you require the 2950 switch? it is again a SPOF (single point of failure). instead, you can connect the primary 3750 to PIX 1 and secondary 3750 to PIX 2.

Hope this helps.

Raj

Hello Raj,

My Scenario is that i am having two 3750 Layer 3 Switch. Two 515E PIX ( Failover ) and 1 2950 Switch.

My 2950 Switch has 2 Vlan's ( INSIDE and OUTSIDE )

1st Vlan for OUTSIDE and 2nd VLAN for INSIDE.

As i am using PIX 515E as Failover so 2 Ethernet cable come from OUTSIDE Interface to 2950 and 2 ETHERNET cable come from INSIDE Interface to 2950.

Right now i have configured only 1 3750 Switch. So 1 cables goes to INSIDE VLAN of 2950.

My problem is how should i configure both 3750 switch to work in HSRP mode. what command should i enter in 3750 Switch.

I have configured Layer 3 Port which goes to PIX via 2950 ( INSIDE VLAN ).

I hope this detail information would help to imagine my scenario.

Regards,

Rakshit
