Here is further description on Identity Firewall and step by step configuration guide:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa84/configuration/guide/access_idfw.html
In summary, the ASA firewall can integrate with Active Directory, and you can configure access-list to refer to specific user group to allow or restrict access, and/or VPN access via user group. More information on Identity Firewall is on the above URL.
Hope this helps.

Thanks.
I didn't find a description of the AD Agent. Is that a Cisco or Microsoft software component? Is it free?

It's a Cisco component that is to be installed on Microsoft server.
The AD agent can be downloaded from cisco.com download page at the ASA software download section.
The AD agent is AD_Agent-v1.0.0.32-build-539-Installer.exe
