There are various links posted by support personnel in the "Ask The Experts" discussion that I cannot access. A few examples:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/security/asdm/6_1/user/guide/ips.html
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/security/ips/7.0/configuration/guide/cli/cliguide7.html
I get a message saying forbidden file or link, or something like that. Presumably these are restricted to those with "Partner" access. Is there another location where I can read these documents and others? Why do you have to be a partner to read something as mundane as system requirements for IME?

You can just change the /partner/ to /customer/ in the URL and you should have access for the documentation:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/docs/security/asdm/6_1/user/guide/ips.html
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/docs/security/ips/7.0/configuration/guide/cli/cliguide7.html
Hope that helps.
