I have a couple of IPS 4215's in a lab environment for training. The problem I am facing is a lot of the time when the command erase current-config or just a simple save is issued, the IPS hangs and requires a power cycle. This has happened with 5.0, 5.1.1 and now they are running 5.1.5(E) and still experiencing the issue. Does anybody know what is causing this and how to correct it?

Hi,
I have come on here to log exactly the same problem!
I am in a lab environemt to, every time i erase current config or backup config it hangs and i have to restart/power cycle.
Mine is a 4215 also running 5.1.5...
Let me know how you get on, it's very frustrating!

Hi again,
When the sensor boots hit '1' at the prompt and this will restore defaults!
Thanks

Thank you for your reply.
I am not looking for a work around. I am aware of setting everything back to default. I am looking for a resolution to the problem.

I find it hard to believe that myself and one other person have run into this problem. Is there no solution? Somebody please help!!
