IPS Signature update

Dear all,

I recently purchased the Service contract ( SMARTNET) , Now, I need to update my IPS signatures. How can i implement that? any reference will be highly appreciated.

You can do it automatically by inserting your credentials in teh system and it will poll for new updates or you can download them manually from cisco.com and update via the system's config page.

I would like to know what is the latest IPS Signature version?

One of customer using ASA-SM-10 with IPS version 6.2(1)E3 and Signature 479.0

At IPS Manager Express

sensor health is still critical

events status is not connected

Analysis Engine Status is running normally.

Does it means IPS are not running?

Download the latest signatures from here

http://tools.cisco.com/support/downloads/go/Model.x?mdfid=281442967&mdfLevel=Software%20Family&treename=Security&modelName=Cisco%20IOS%20Intrusion%20Prevention%20System%20Feature%20Software&treeMdfId=268438162

and use Security Device Manager plugged into the device to load and compile them.
