hi Geeks,
is there any way out to reserve or prioritize some bandwidth from the firewall to a particular public ip address. All the traffic from the firewall to this ip should be prioritised or possibly want to reserver some bandwsidth for this traffic
Thanks

Hello Manek,
You can consider using Priority Queue to prioritize traffic on ASA.
Here is a link for the same : https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-1230
Hope this helps. Please reply if you need further assistance.

Hi Chirag,
the priority is basically based on QOS if iam right and this will happen only when a network congestion occurs right ?
let me explain to you the objective behind this question.I have branch offices accessing their mails through rpcoverhttp.WHen their internet link gets congusted emails seding/receiving gets badly afftected. So to get rid of this is it possible to reserve a certain amount of bandwidth for rpcoverhttp protocol or reserve/prioritise trafic from the branch public ip to main offfice public ip .is this possible by any means ??
thanks in advance
Manek

Hi Manek,
Yep, you are right. QoS will only come in account if we have full utilization . Also, for internet traffic, our QoS won't help because it won't be honoured over internet.
I am not sure, if we can do anything on the ASA to meet this requirement.
Cheers,
Chirag

Hi,
You can implement Low latency queueing in this case.
