ISE and VM Hardware compatibility

We have 1 PAN node, 1 M & T node and 2 PSA nodes on vm.  My VM manager wants to know the following:

VM Hardware Compatibility

Upgrade Available

On VM: ESXi5.1 and later (version 9)

On Host: ESXi 6.7 and later (Version 14)

Upgrade to match Host

Can this upgrade be done with out causing interference with the nodes in production?

It is not the ISE that my manager wants to upgrade, it is the VM ESXi.

Can he upgrade the VM Host without uninstalling ISE?

It depends on your current version of ISE. What is that version?

ISE 2.4 should be fine on VMWare ESXi 6.x, including 6.7.
