Dear All,
Would you please advise wether it is abligatory to have the content filtering subscription license in order to use the local (static) content filtering on Cisco ISR? Documentation says that one can use the local router URL database (whitelist and blacklist) for 100 entries...
Thanks in advance.

Hi Mladen,
You need to have an advancedipservices license, you need to have an image that supports the feature, but you don't need the subscription to do static filtering. In other words, the subscription is used by the router to find out what category a site belongs to, but if you just have static sites that will be blocked you don't need a subscription.
Of course there are other ways of doing that like appfw or http inspection.
I hope it helps.
