Issues with school project need advice for ASA 5510 firewall and network designing with limited device and imposed requirements.

Hi Pros 

The biggest problem now is with the ASA firewall we have no idea on how to configure them to achieve a connected network. Our ping test from Router and Users fail to reach the DMZ interface. I assume that we have to configure static routes and all will be alright.

This is our current network design with limited network device to simulate the internet. I would like to hear your advice on how our project can be accomplished and what configurations do you suggest. My team members have decided that we don't need VLAN on the switch but I'm not sure about how to convince them as well. 

All help will be greatly appreciated. 

We are required to use one Cisco 2900 router,   two ASA5510 firewalls,    one Cisco 2950 switch

These all in one Location, why do you think you need 2 ASA ( for high availability) but diagram does not sound like that.
