licensing confusion for FP 9300

Hi,

For FP 9300 if we are using 2 modules in a chassis. Would we need to buy the bundled subscription ( FTD-BUN) for both the modules in the chassis or would we require a single license for the entire chassis.

please let me know.

When ordering a 9300 Series NGFW with the Cisco Firepower Threat Defense image, both a base Cisco Firepower Threat Defense license (L-FPR9K-TD-BASE=) and subscriptions to security services are required “separate for each security module in the chassis.”

There are three different "FTD Bundles" SKUs in CCW.
● FPR9K-SM24-FTD-BUN
● FPR9K-SM36-FTD-BUN
● FPR9K-SM44-FTD-BUN

When a partner or reseller is ordering from those, the ordering system (CCW) will prompt them to choose the subscription types and terms etc.

If you are a partner and have further doubt, please refer to the Cisco Network Security ordering guide (just released in September 2016) or open a case with the Partner Help Desk.

You're welcome.

You need to select them. When you just put in the bundle SKU it will tell you the configuration is invalid. You need to go to the "Select Options" page where you will be prompted that "The quantity of SUBSCRIPTIONS should be equal to the quantity of FPR9K-SM-24= selected. Please adjust the quantity."

(The no-cost  "L-FPR9K-TD-BASE=" license is automatically included - similar to the Control license on ASA FirePOWER module.)

Hi Marvin,

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply. Does the FTD BUN comes with all the subscriptions or do we have to select individual subscriptions with the bundle like threats.

Do let me know.

Thanks
