Solved: Loading PDM on upgraded PIX 525 Pair

Hi,

Have recently upgraded a pair of PIX 525s to 6.3(3)running in stateful failover and wish to load PDM on them. Queries I have:

1)As they are in production enviroment, do you have to reload the PIXes for PDM to work?

2) Is there a recommended method for installing PDM on a live PIX pair?

1) No reload is necesssary.

2) The install is no different. The one thing to note is that you will need to enter config mode on the standby firewall which will generate a warning. You can ignore it. When you're done, use the write [standby command] on the active firewall as a precautionary measure.
