I need a way to monitor router interfaces status with history records.

I configure the router

snmp-server trap-source f0/0

snmp-server host 172.17.1.26

is there any option that can help me to monitor all the sites router interfaces.

I'm also using wt's up gold. But the network is complacated so I need accurate records.

Any advice will be appreciated.

thanks

MRTG is really good and its free. It takes some time to configure it, but I think its well worth it. There is a GUI version called PRTG also, and there is a freebie of that, but it only allows you to monitor one interface at a time. If you buy it, of course, you can do more. Try MRTG, its complicated, but well worth it.

You may also want to check out Cacti, which is similar to MRTG, but provides some other nice features (especially with the plugin architecure). As with MRTG, it's free.

Thank you for your replying, I'm accept with you that MRTG is good, but the required thing is to how to monitor the interface uptime?

Like matts1234 mentioned, use cacti...it's FREE and pretty good.

Take a look at Solarwinds Orion, it's not free but it does monitor uptime.
