Planning on moving my standby fwsm to a new 6500 chassis; couldn't find any documentation on the procedure. The config should be stored on the fwsm (rather than the 6500 itself), so I'm assuming the move should be easy, just a matter of moving the "firewall vlan-group" commands, and reestablishing the failover and state links to the active fwsm. Is that a correct assumption or is there anything I'm missing? If anyone knows of a link to Cisco's recommended procedure for this I'd be grateful.
thanks,
Mike

Hello Mike,
You're correct that the procedure is fairly easy and should not involve any configuration changes on the FWSM itself. Just make sure that the new chassis is running the software that is compatible with the FWSM code.

Will do, thank you for the confirmation.
