Roadmap for CSA 4.5 was mid Dec 2004...!

Latest word is released mid Feb with CCO download mid March.

I wouldn't hold my breath though if I were you. Cisco will ship when they are ready and not before. That is why they don't like to give ETA's on software.

I was told today that CSA Version 4.5 will not be released until the end of march at the earliest. You might be able to become a beta tester for it.

Does NAC scan the endpoint for viruses when it connects to the network or does it just check to see if has the latest virus DAT files?

I believe if you use the AV Server as an external policy server, you may have the flexibility to do so, depending on the AV Company's Policy Server implementation.

Today, only Trend supports their server as an external Policy Server for NAC.

Which AV do you use in your envrionment?

Does anybody have any new information on CNAC phase 2 roll-out. I'm trying to decide whether to wait or go ahead and rollout just 802.1x and migrate later. any news would be helpful. Thanks.....

we are in the same boat. i have 802.1x machine authentication ready and waiting, but we are still trying to find a firm date on when NAC phase 2 will be available.

There might be an announcement this week during Networkers regarding Nac Phase 2.

I took the techtorial on NAC at Networkers, they said that NAC 2.0, which includes ACS v4.0 and CTA v2.0 will be releasing later this summer, around August.

No, CTA 2.0 will not be released this month.

The target release date has moved to firm date in November.
