NAT from 8.2(5) to 9.1(6)

Hello,

What is the CLI (or ASDM) config on version 8.2(5) to configure the NAT bellow (it is in the version 9.1(6))?

nat (outside,outside) source static OBJ-10.30.100.3 OBJ-10.1.252.10 destination static OBJ-10.200.200.219 OBJ-172.31.18.219

The flow I need is:

Original:

Source: 10.30.100.3

Destination: 10.200.200.219

Translate to:

Source: 10.1.252.10

Destination: 172.31.18.219

Regards, Weverton Aranha

It cant be done in version 8.2.5, because  of two things. There is no Twice NAT capability on ASA. There are individual capability and the second is that if you use an static policy NAT, there is a bug where the ASA does not honor the destination on the ACL (which you need to create) which causes the translation to take place for all traffic.

This is very hard to swallow, however, this is one of the main reasons NAT evolved to what it is now on the ASA.
