Hi,
I have installed nGenius 1.4.I am having problem with my Packet Analyzer.
when I open Packet Analyzer, I can expand the "Capture Elements: -> all Switches -> All Switch port -> and I can see all the switches which i have installed.
but i am unable to launch or capture anything. I can't even expand my switches to select any interface which i want to monitor.
But my Traffic monitoring software works perfectly fine. It doesn't seems to make any sence as why?

To use Packet Capture, you must have a physical Switch Probe or Network Analysis Module (NAM) installed and connected. Without either, what you're seeing is the expected result. Only Switch Probes/NAM can do Packet Capture. And this has nothing to do with Traffic Monitoring. Switches by default support Mini-RMON, hence you can see the Data Link Layer stats in Traffic Monitor. Even for viewing Network/Application Layer info, you still need a Probe/NAM.
