I HAVE asa5545 , i shutdown the ips , and unintsall the ips software module, and reload the asa, account to 9.1 configure cli guide, and upload the asa cx boot image, and reboot the cx module, wait 5 min, session cx console, i see the
# session cxsc console
Opening console session with module cxsc.
Connected to module cxsc. Escape character sequence is 'CTRL-^X'.
but there is no user/password prompt
i am expectiong the prompt to login . the session is just blank
I exist to ASA, and show module, it still show the cx module recover .
i tried many time, even reboot the ASA, Still can not see the user login prompt in the cx console ?
anyone know this problem ?

Hmm. Yes the recover status plus lack of login prompt indicates the CXSC module has not completed its boot.
Did you use the commands:
sw-module module cxsc recover configure image disk0:/asacx-5500x-boot-9.1.2-21.img
(or later image version - however it is important that you use the boot image first to bootstrap)
sw-module module cxsc recover boot
If you didn't, then I would try to shutdown, uninstall and re-try using those commands in addition to an uninstall (first) as follows:
sw-module module cxsc shutdown
(wait until show module indicates it is shutdown)
sw-module module cxsc uninstall

I am having the same issue. HOwever, when I try the commands above, it does not seem to help. When I issue the uninstall command, it returns a message indicating that there is no software available to uninstall. Also, when I look at the logs, it shows the correct version and appears to be waiting at a login prompt of sorts.
Any further input would be greatly appreciated.
