Good day,
I'm practicing for a CCNA 1 ITN final skills exam and my switch commands to shutdown unused ports are correct but when I click on check results it is still marked as incorrect. I've tried multiple times and even went as far as trying to shut them down one by one to no avail. I was starting to think that there might be compatibility issues with the PT version and the file itself but I cannot rely on that, I've got an exam to ace in two days. Please help and I've attached the file in question.

yes, sometimes those PT Activities do not grade correctly especially those made for PT 6 and older (aka compatibility issues). did u try "interface range" command ? Did u entered description for those ports? see b) Enter descriptions for all unused switch ports to indicate that they are intentionally shutdown.
For the exam, I would not worry about it as long as u know how to shutdown ports individually or using range command

Hi Martin,
Thank you for your timely response, I had tried the interface range command first which is why I landed on shutting them one by one. I'll take your word on the activities not grading properly, that gives me a bit more assurance about doing well in the exam thanks...

Did u entered correct description for those ports? Activity results shows description is not correct; I guess u need to use proper wording.

Yes, I entered the correct description because I used the same wording for description of interfaces on the routers. So that is what was worrying me as everything was marked incorrect but the commands actually shut down the unused ports and there was proper description. Thanks
