PDM not working on Pix

I have a PIX 535 and up until yesterday the PDM was working. now when i try to log in I get the following message "exception: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission java.version read)

the PDM ver is 3.0(1)

Pix firewall ver is 6.3(3)

Any Ideas?

Check the version of java you are using. We upgraded our version and the next day we could not get into the PDM.

Problem:

Field Notice: PIX, FWSM and IPS Device Managers Incompatability with Java Plug-In Versions 1.4.2_08 and 1.5.0_02

You have two choices:

1.) Downgrade the Java version JRE to 1.4.2x

2.) Upgrade the PDM and PIX OS version

PIX OS version 6.3(5) software. Requires a minimum of 8 MB Flash and 16 MB RAM.

This is a know bug and was fixed in latest version.
