Hi,
I just got the PIX firewall and when I tried changing the inside adapter's IP address to 10.0.0.1 from 192.168.1.1 using PDM I got an error saying the current IP address is not in the same DHCP or something.
I tried logging in from console adn tried changing using command (before this command I just gave the enable command and checked once using show ip)
ip address inside 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
but show ip doesn't show that change.
what do I need to do?

Manish,
From the CLI you need to issue (in config mode): clear dhcpd
Save with: write mem.
After this you'll be able to change the IP address.
Hope this helps.

Jay:
thanks! that helped.
I found that my PDM web interface could not be launched after that. However, with some KB searching I was able to change the http setting to the new ip address and it works fine.
thanks!
Manish
