PIX 506E SNMP access

When attempting to do a SNMP walk on a PIX 506E it timed out. The SNMP-SERVER community string is set. Are there any other parameters that must be configured to allow SNMP access to the PIX.

To get SNMP going on the pix you need to configure the SNMP-SERVER HOST command which tells the pix what computer is the SNMP management station. You also use the SNMP-SERVER command to configure and enable traps if so desired. Depending which interface your management station is on you may also need to configure an access list allowing SNMP traffic.

Hope that helps.
